Cook and enjoy rescued food with us!
Who are we?
We are a bunch of different student sustainability groups from Gothenburg University and Chalmers.
What and how?
One of our joint projects are the so-called Food Rescue Parties: by the help of a company called 'Allwin' we get food that grocery stores would throw away otherwise.
In a public event we would like to cook this food together with you and have a lot of fun!
What to bring?
Your own cutlery, water bottle and plate/lunch box. Cutting boards and knives are also appreciated. Most important thing: a happy mood :)
At Sahlgrenska Academy, Medicinaregatan 13. We will welcome you right at the entry area of the building, watch out for some colourful clouds ;) Closest tram stops are Medicinaregatan and Sahlgrenska Huvudentré.
What else to know?
Due to saftey issues the event will be limited to 100 people. First come, first served!
This is a non-alcoholic event.
You will have the opportunity to donate for Musikhjälpen (cash only). This year's project theme: Children in war zones should have safe access to schools.
Everyone is welcome!

First 140 people coming, first served!
This week our world leaders will come a decision in #COP21 in Paris. Our message: Food and agriculture plays a crucial role in the issue of climate change! Reducing food waste is key and talking about food production practices is crucial – as our soil has a huge capacity of sequestering CO2!
Today we marched for climate action! We marched together with 4000 people in Gothenburg and 570'000 people globally.
A big part of climate change is due to food production and thus wasting 1/3 of it is a huge scandal.. Food production also presents one of the big solutions for carbon capturing - so talk agriculture and food systems next week please! #letsnoteatourplanet #fightclimatechange #COP21
Crowdfarming - a way to cut down food waste by cutting the middlehands? No storage. No waste. Interesting concept!
Adopt your own orange tree and get a life time of oranges!
Yesterday co-founder Jonathan Naraine represented the Food Rescue Project in a one day workshop about the collaborative economy in Stockholm.
The workshop organized by the European Commission in collaboration with the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum. They had invited entrepreneurs, NGO's and many different policy makers from Sweden and the nordic countries. The aim was to clarify the need for a new or changed policies within the uprising collaborative economy.
How does the collaborative economy change the market?
It revolutionizes the market and increases profit, as well decreasing energy use and environmental impact.
What is missing?
A conclusion of the day was that better collaboration between business, non-profits and policy makers would benefit the growth of the whole economy - also making it more sustainable. Enabling better understanding between actors, which is partly lacking today..
The world’s governments will be meeting in Paris from November 30 to December 11 to try to find a global agreement on climate change. But the relationship between food and climate remains on the margins of the discussion. This is why we are demanding that the representatives from the nations and international institutions gathered in Paris take agriculture’s decisive and central role into serious consideration.
