Slow Food Youth Network UK
We are a network of young people based in the UK who want a good, clean and fair food system.
We managed to plant 36 fruit trees at Haymerle School, a small state school which specialises in the teaching of children on the autistic spectrum. More planting for a good cause events to follow!
By genetically combining two organisms…that's 200% natural :P

TOMORROW we support the PIG DAY. A free lunch cooked up by top restaurants, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, kids' activities, speeches, entertainment & more, all in the name of fighting #foodwaste. It's all happening tomorrow in Trafalgar Square from 12-4pm. Trot along, join the festivities and come swine with us!!
The first UK Disco Soup is taking place in Bath this Saturday! We will be serving lovely soup made from unsold ‘ugly’ veggies for FREE, in a festive atmosphere animated by LIVE MUSIC!
Our community garden/grow your own site for East Manchester will start to take shape as we clear the overgrowth and make it more accessible to everyone.
There will be hot food, cake, biscuits and refreshments provided at a couple of key points in the day
Bring a pair of garden gloves, a digging fork, hedge cutters etc if you have them - otherwise just come as your are.
Plenty to do and ALL Welcome.
